ASOCAM's Public Policy Advocacy Website

ASOCAM’s new thematic website is virtual space aimed at disseminating the results of a regional initiative of knowledge sharing on the topic of Policy Advocacy, held in 2006 in collaboration with 65 development organizations from eight countries in the region.

This Website contextualizes the topic, presents relevant concepts, analyzes main actors and forces involved and describes the policy advocacy process, step by step. It includes a compilation of documeted experiences, as well as methods and tools for policy advocacy planning and media advocacy. ASOCAM is a Latin American Platform that facilitates iniatives and spaces of exchange and collective construction to promote knowledge management on key issues of rural development in the region. ASOCAM is supported by SDC, with Intercooperation as its Technical Secretariat. The Platform's members include 50 local organisations in 8 countries.
